Initial Concept

My initial idea was to create a post-modern art gallery, primarily selling post-modern sculpture, with the exterior of the building suggesting the program and function of its interior. I saw Newtown as a place filled with post-modernism and a strong absence of the classical. Hence I felt it was most appropriate to place a gallery on this site which specializes in post-modern art.

Since I wanted the exterior to reflect the interior, site 2 would be most appropriate because 3 of the 4 facades are revealed, unlike site 1 and 3, which only have the front and back facade(primarily front) exposed.
